From Farm to Campsite

How it started

We've come a long way since opening our gates in 2021.

Our family moved to Tresco Farm in 2008, just a stone's throw from St Merryn village. Over the years the fields have been home to pigs, then cows, and since the summer of 2021, campers.

The campsite was born in the wake of Covid, when more people were discovering the beauty of Cornwall. We opened with a single portaloo and a simple idea, and have been welcoming guests and improving the campsite a little more each season ever since.

The land

A working farm since 2008. A campsite since 2021.

Tresco Farm sits on the edge of St Merryn village, where our family has lived for years. We moved onto the farm in 2008, and since then the fields have been home to pigs, cows and, more recently, happy campers.

Our spacious grass pitches are spread across open fields, giving everyone plenty of room to relax. There's no entertainment, no activity programmes and no late-night noise—just peaceful surroundings, fresh Cornish air, and some of North Cornwall's best beaches just a short drive away.

The people

Jordan, Liam & Grandad

The faces you're most likely to see

Jordan runs the campsite day-to-day — bookings, pitches, and everything in between. Liam and Grandad are usually out on the land. Between the three of them, there's always someone about if you need anything.

Tresco Farm is our family home, and we're proud to share a small part of it with visitors looking to experience the best of North Cornwall.

“We started with just one portaloo and no idea what to expect. Since then, we’ve continued improving and upgrading the campsite each year to make every guest’s stay that little bit better.”

What we are

And what we're not.

Three things that have stayed true since the first summer.

01

We're still improving.

We started with one portaloo, and every season since has brought something new — better facilities, more accommodation and a clearer idea of what our guests enjoy. We’re always looking for ways to make the campsite even better.

02

Dogs are guests too.

Dogs are very welcome on our camping pitches and must be kept on a lead around the campsite. Our bell tents are dog-free to help keep them clean, comfortable and allergy-friendly for all guests.
